Nicole Dempsey

My name is Nicole Dempsey, and I am a family nurse practitioner at Acadia Women's Health in Crowley, Louisiana. I became an RN in 2009, and in 2017 I graduated as a family nurse practitioner and began working for Dr. Gonzalez and Dr. Owens shortly after. Within no time, I felt right at home. Acadia Women's Health has that effect on people I think.

I've spent most of my nursing career in the emergency department, where I can care for patients throughout their lifespan and educate them on health promotion and prevention. I believe that all patients should take an active role in their health, which is why I decided to advance my degree.

I grew up in South Florida and moved to Lafayette, LA in 2014. The culture of Acadiana took no time to fall in love with, and I am happy to now call Louisiana my home. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and attending all the festivals Louisiana has to offer.
