Reasons for having a
Breast Augmentation

Top Reasons for a Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation can restore breast shape and size after pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight loss, and it can also be used to rebuild the breast after a mastectomy. Our surgeons here at Acadia Women's Health in Crowley perform breast augmentation in our own surgical suites, using saline or silicone implants chosen to match what you are going for.

Pricing starts at $3,600. Women come to this decision for all kinds of reasons, sometimes it is about restoring fullness that changed over time, sometimes it is evening out asymmetry, and sometimes it is simply wanting to feel more comfortable in their own body. Whatever is bringing you in, it is a personal decision, and there is no wrong reason to ask questions about it. Because this is surgery, your consultation matters.

We will talk through your goals, your options, recovery, cost, and what is realistic for your body, so you can decide what feels right for you, on your own timeline.

Which Implant
is Right for Me?

One of the most common questions women ask at their first consultation is which implant will look the most natural. It is a good question, and there is no single right answer, because implants come in a range of sizes, shapes, and textures, and the best fit really depends on you. That is what the consultation is for.

Your surgeon will talk with you about your health, your body, and what you are hoping for, and walk you through the options so you can find the implant that works with your frame and gives you the kind of result you have in mind. There is a lot to consider, and you are not expected to have it all figured out before you come in.
Which Implant Should I Choose?

Silicone | Gummy Bear

Silicone implants are a popular choice for many women seeking a natural feel and appearance. They are filled with silicone gel, which closely mimics the texture of natural breast tissue. This makes them a great option for those looking for a soft and natural look.

Silicone implants are less likely to ripple, making them ideal for women with less natural breast tissue. They also maintain their shape well, providing a consistent and long-lasting result.

Silicone Implant Benefits Include:
  • Various sizes ranging from 100-1000 cc
  • Most “natural feeling” breast implant
  • Great option for women over the age of 22

Saline

Saline implants are filled with sterile saltwater and offer the benefit of adjustable size. This allows the surgeon to fine-tune the implant size during surgery for a more precise outcome. Saline implants tend to be firmer than silicone.

They are also inserted empty and filled once in place, allowing for a smaller incision and potentially less visible scarring. Additionally, if a saline implant leaks, the body safely absorbs the saltwater, making it easier to detect and address any issues.

Benefits Include:
  • Various sizes ranging from 100-1000 cc
  • More appropriate sizing due to being filled after insertion
  • Great option for women over the age of 18

Before and After Photos

Every woman comes to breast augmentation with her own goals, so results look different from person to person. If it helps to see what that can actually look like, you are welcome to browse our before-and-after gallery. The button below will take you there, so you can get a real sense of the kind of results our patients have had before you decide anything.

Picking the Right Size

Every woman's body is built a little differently, so getting the implant size right is one of the most important parts of the process. The goal is a result that fits your frame and matches what you are picturing Choosing a size is not guesswork. Your surgeon will look at things like your chest width, your height, and your overall build, and talk through what you are hoping for, so the size you land on actually works with your body. Implants come in a wide range, and whether you are after something subtle or a bigger change, the right size is the one that suits you, not a number that sounds good on paper.

For reference, a lot of patients end up somewhere in the mid-range, which tends to add fullness without overwhelming a smaller frame, but there is no standard answer, and what is right for someone else may not be right for you. That is exactly the kind of thing we will work through together at your consultation, so you can decide what feels right for you.

5-Star Review

"Dr. Gonzalez is absolutely amazing. He spent a lot of time with me throughout the entire process. I love my boobs! I feel like a new woman. He even called me himself to check on me later that evening after surgery and gave us his personal cell phone number. My husband was in shock that he was so accessible. I’m not sure who loves Dr Gonzalez (or my boobs) more: me or my husband!"
