Dr. Michelle Owens

Hi, I’m Dr. Michelle Owens—board-certified OB/GYN, cosmetic surgeon, and co-founder of Acadia Women’s Health. I’ve been serving the women of Crowley and the surrounding communities since 1999, blending advanced medical care with compassionate, personalized attention for every stage of a woman’s life.

I earned my medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children in Orlando, Florida—where I was honored to serve as Chief Resident in my final year. I am a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and the International Society of Cosmetogynecology (ISCG). I’ve also completed the MIGS (Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery) certification, a distinction that reflects my specialized training in minimally invasive procedures.

At Acadia Women’s Health, I take great pride in building meaningful relationships with my patients. I believe in treating every woman as a whole person—not just a patient. Whether I’m guiding someone through a complex gynecologic issue or helping her feel more confident in her appearance, I always take time to listen, explain options, and provide care that feels both personal and empowering.

My clinical interests include robotic and laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction, and incontinence treatment. I also specialize in cosmetic procedures including facial and body contouring, leg vein treatments, and non-surgical aesthetic enhancements like Botox, dermal fillers, and thread lifts. I love offering women modern options that deliver visible results with little to no downtime—because I know how important it is to feel great without missing a beat in our busy lives.

As one of the first gynecologists in the region to focus on minimally invasive, outpatient, and in-office procedures, I routinely perform endometrial ablations, permanent birth control, and robotic hysterectomies with a focus on minimal scarring and quicker recoveries. These techniques not only improve safety—they help women return to their routines faster and more confidently.

My husband Kelly and I made our home in Crowley, where we’ve raised our two children, Jordan and Brookelyn. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family—but one of my greatest joys has been building lifelong connections with the women I care for. I’m proud to be part of a practice that truly makes a difference, and I would be honored to welcome you into the Acadia Women’s Health family.
