Leaky Bladder - Urinary Incontinence

If you’re suffering from a leaky bladder also known as Urinary Incontinence, know that you’re not alone. This is a condition of inability to resist the sensation to urinate, sometimes causing involuntary leakage. While this is not life threatening, it can become an absolutely draining burden. The good news is that there are treatment options available that can control or altogether alleviate it.

Urinary Incontinence Causes

Urinary incontinence can be caused by different bladder problems, like bladder stones, infections, weak pelvic muscles and medical problems. Some of the common causes include:

·        Age

·        Genetics

·        Obesity

·        Pregnancy and Childbirth

·        Activities

·        Medical Condition

·        Weak Pelvic Floor Muscles

Urinary Incontinence Helpful Tips

For many people, there are a few things that can help slow the need to frequently urinate:

Just have water when drinking: cut down on caffeine, alcohol, carbonated drinks, acidic food, and the like.

Limit sweets: high blood sugar raises the amount of urine it makes which results in frequent urination, urgency, and most likely incontinence.

Eat more food rich in fiber: this will help you counter constipation which triggers urinary incontinence.
